Committees & Working Groups
Get involved in the ongoing work of Delaware DSA through our committees and working groups.
Committees handle the ongoing operational work of our chapter, while working groups focus on specific issues and campaigns. All members are welcome to join any committee or working group.
Committees
Political Education Committee (PEC)
Purpose:
Carries out internal political education functions for the chapter
Communications Committee (Comms)
Purpose:
Manages internal and external communications
Privileges:
- Access to internal communications systems
- Social media access (subject to SC approval)
- Basic support coordination with other committees
Membership Engagement Committee (MEC)
Purpose:
Handles recruitment, onboarding, retention of members
Privileges:
- Access to limited membership data (names, phone numbers, general location)
- Internal communications access
- Coordination with other committees
Red Rabbits (RR)
Purpose:
Security and safety coordination committee
Socialists-in-Office Committee (SiO)
Purpose:
Coordinates involvement with electoral campaigns (local, state, federal), recruits and researches candidates for elected office, produces candidate questionnaires for each electoral cycle
Working Groups
Arts & Culture Working Group (ACWG)
Purpose:
Explores and organizes around arts and cultural activities
Housing Justice Working Group (HJWG)
Purpose:
Organizes around housing justice issues
International Solidarity Working Group (ISWG)
Purpose:
Focuses on international solidarity and anti-imperialism work
Migrant Rights Working Group (MRWG)
Purpose:
Organizes around migrant rights and immigrant justice
Mutual Aid Working Group (MAWG)
Purpose:
Coordinates mutual aid activities and direct service
Queer Socialists Working Group (QSWG)
Purpose:
Organizes around LGBTQ+ identity and liberation
